What is an Abacus?
Abacus is an old Chinese instrument used to solve mathematical problems such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, square roots, percentages, algebra, BODMAS, and fractions. The child only needs to understand basic addition and subtraction to begin the program, usually between 4 and 14 years old.
Benefit to Children
By using both hands, the child utilizes both sides of their brain, encouraging holistic brain development while working on mathematical exercises. This improves the child’s mental mathematics skills, focus, and memory power, energising the brain.

Target Age Group: 3.5 to 5 years
Starting Level: Level 0
Pre-requisite knowledge: No pre-requisite needed

Target Age Group: 6 to 9 years
Starting Level: Level 1
Pre-requisite knowledge: Conceptual Knowledge of Addition and Subtraction, Ability to write numbers

Starting Level: Level 6
Pre-requisite knowledge: Addition & Subtraction up to 1000, Times Table until 10
Our Curriculum
Our Abacus course is 12 lessons long on average spanning 3 to 4 months. Each lesson is 90 minutes long. 4 lessons per month.
